Guidelines for the Paper Development Workshop

The workshop is designed for participants seeking in-depth, developmental feedback on their work from both peers and senior colleagues. By taking part in the workshop, participants consent to their paper being shared with a senior colleague and a small group of participating peers.

Participants are expected to engage fully in the process by reading assigned papers in advance and providing constructive verbal feedback during dedicated sessions. Papers will be circulated in advance, and each will be discussed in a structured session including feedback from a senior colleague and group discussion. The workshop aims to foster a supportive and collaborative environment focused on improving work in progress rather than formal evaluation or selection. Further details will be announced in due course.

If your paper has been accepted for both oral presentation and the paper development workshop, please submit your full papers by 31 July, following the guidelines below:

  • Submit your paper as a Word document using 12-point Calibri or Times New Roman font.
  • Papers should be between 3,500 and 7,000 words in length.
  • Use double spacing and standard (2.54 cm) margins throughout, and include page numbers.
  • On the first page, include the paper title, all authors’ names, affiliations, and email addresses, as well as the email address of the corresponding author.
  • Name the file using the corresponding author’s family name followed by “_BMS2026” (e.g. Familyname_BMS2026.docx).
